We offer three main services, which are outlined in the table below:

|Discovery Session||Our hour-long tours of Tudor House or the Old Town provide excellent general history of the building, its main residents and information about the collections. Depending on your requirements it can also focus in more detail on a particular time period within this wider context. Please ask for other discovery session options.||£46|
|Workshop||Our excellent range of one-hour workshops will ensure your pupils have a memorable experience, incorporating object handling, and activities. They usually take place in our Education Room. Maximum class size 33.||£80|
|Self-guided Time||An opportunity to spend some time exploring the house and garden. Most groups spend about an hour looking around the house.||£2 per child if no other bookings, £1 if one other booking or FREE when both a Discovery Session and Workshop are booked.|
|Lunch Space||We can provide an indoor space at Tudor House to eat your packed lunch. For groups over 65 please discuss options with us directly.||£12|
|Total||The total cost you might expect to pay for a full day of activities and lunch space for one class.||£138|

Our popular Key Stage 2 workshops have something to offer every class. We have a great range of
Tudor workshops, and also Victorian and WWII sessions to cater to the different subjects you may
be studying. All sessions are offered at £80 and last an hour.
|Henry the VIII’s Feasts and Festivities||Selected pupils get dressed into costumes and act out the duties involved with preparing the house for a feast including laying the table. Explanation about food and costumes.|
|Tudor Plague and Potions||Taking inspiration from our own unique Tudor knot garden, pupils will find out more about how herbs were used in Tudor times. Learn about Tudor medicine and the dreaded plague Doctor!Pupils will go home with their very own plague bag.|
|Empire and Explorers||An explanation of new foods available due to exploration at this time and the differences between the food of the rich and poor.|
If you’d prefer you can get involved in some history-inspired art and craft. Choose one of:
|The Victorian School||Learn the Victorian way with stern Miss Hardcastle, and don’t forget to be on your best behaviour!|
|Southampton Through Time||Focussing on three settlements- Clausentum (Roman), Hamwic (Anglo-Saxon) and medieval Southampton. Handle artefacts, and find out how the city has changed over the centuries.|
|Blitz- The Bombers Are Coming||Learn about WW2 by visiting our very own Air Raid shelter and discovering more about rationing, evacuation and life in the city during the war.|
