Say “I do” in the historic Georgian Room overlooking the Tudor Knot Garden before greeting your guests in the atmospheric 16th century wood panelled Banqueting Hall for your drinks reception In the garden you can capture treasured memories against the striking backdrop of King John’s Palace. This impressive stone building, steeped in over a thousand years of history, can be hired specially for your wedding reception providing a unique reminder of your special day. While the location is outdoors, you are welcome to hire a marquee for the occasion.
Thought to have originally dated from the 17th century with substantial alterations in the 18th century, this is one of the larger rooms in the house. This bright space is a very popular ceremony venue with views overlooking the garden and can seat 35 in rows, 12 – 20 with tables and is accessible via stairs or lift.
Oak panelled walls make for an atmospheric and unique setting for a ceremony or reception. With a large Tudor fireplace and minstrel’s gallery. The space can seat up 35 people for a ceremony, 20 for a reception or 40 standing.
King John’s Place
An outdoor venue with a difference, this historic outdoor space has capacity for 60 and lends itself to a range of events. Electricity is available and you would be welcome to hire in a marquee.
